So how healthy is a Green Tea Latte compared to other sugary coffee lattes? Well the truth is, if you are getting your Matcha Green Tea Latte from a coffee shop, chances are you’re not reaping all of the benefits a Matcha Latte can boast, and unfortunately you probably are not improving much in the calorie fat and sugar departments either.
Many of the coffee house versions of the trendy latte beverage use large amounts of sugar, whole milk, cream, and a lower quality green tea powder, and not much of it. I call it my "Better Then Starbucks Matcha Latte" and by better I mean it is better for you, and it tastes pretty awesome too. But the real focus behind this recipe is on a healthier alternative to those sugary milk beverages you have been drinking. I want you to get that healthy, energizing, nutrient dense, and antioxidant boost every morning. You will totally become a Matcha Latte Junkie-in a good way. Plus, it keeps that wallet of yours feeling healthy too.

Shhhh... It's just between you and me ;)
1 tsp. –(Heaping) Matcha Green Tea Powder - (I use Nature's Blueprint brand)
1/4 c. Hot Water
1 c. Warm Coconut Milk (unsweetened)
Place Natures Blueprint Matcha Green Tea Powder into your favorite 16oz cup. Poor in hot water and whisk/froth, until powder is dissolved. Next add in the honey and whisk/froth again until incorporated. Last, slowly add the coconut milk, whisk or blend with frother one last time and WA-LA! Super yummy, super healthy Green Tea Latte.
Now, aren't you glad you didn’t have to wait in a long line at the coffee shop? You just saved yourself at least 15 mins, $4.00, some gas money, and you know what is in your drink, and are feeling good from it! That sounds like a win-win-win-win-win-win to me :)
