RECIPE - Matcha Bubbly

matcha bubbly recipe

Since giving up soda several years ago, I have become quite good at mixing up fizzy mineral water beverages as a replacement.

They are so much better for you, use no refined sugars, and are satisfying and refreshing.

My latest concoction is Matcha Bubbly. You will love this energizing soda substitute. It combines less than a handful of simple ingredients, most of which you probably already have in your kitchen.

At least the matcha anyways…. I hope. LOL! Plus, it's super easy to make.

MATCHA BUBBLES - 2 Servings (16oz each)

° NB Matcha

° Raw Orange Blossom Honey (or your favorite variety)

° Fresh Squeezed Organic Lemon Juice

° Mineral water

° Ice

° Start off by making the matcha-honey. Pour ¼ of honey into a glass measuring cup. Add a splash of hot water (approx. 1 tsp) to help melt it down to more of a syrup consistency.

° Squeeze juice from 1 large lemon into the honey-water mixture, and whisk to combine.

° Next, add in 1 heaping tsp of NB matcha and whisk again until thoroughly combined.

° Fill 2 (16oz) glasses with ice. Pour matcha-honey mixture over the top the ice, splitting evenly between the 2 glasses.

° Top off the rest of each glass with mineral water. It will create a beautiful separation with the honey remaining primarily on the bottom and the mineral water bubbling clear on top.

° Stir to combine (a reusable straw works excellent) and sip away.

Feel free to adjust the sweetness to your liking. I prefer to make it a little more honeyed to better satisfy my soda craving.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Cheers to kicking that nasty soda habit!!
